Photographer of Two Mice Fighting Has Been Crowned the Wildlife Photographer of the Year

A dance, a tussle, or a fight over food, it’s a strange, weird, wonderful image taken by Sam Rowley in the London Underground. For his creative efforts and the effort undertaken by the two mice, Rowley’s image has been chosen as this year’s winning entry in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest.

Dubbed ‘Station Squabble’, Rowley waited patiently on the platform, where mice can often be found hunting down scraps of food by commuters. It’s that kind of dedication that has resulted in Rowley being crowned this year’s winner.

Images from the contest can be found in London’s Natural History Museum until the end of May, if you’re in the country and feel like checking out the full range of entries.

I don't know what I was expecting when I loaded up the site this morning, but this certainly made my day.

What an amazing photo!
