Xiaomi Introduces Its 108-Megapixel Equipped Phone to Europe As the Mi Note 10
Megapixels aren’t everything, but try telling that to Xiaomi who are bringing the massive 108-megapixel behemoth to Europe, dubbing the smartphone the Mi Note 10. The Mi Note 10 follows the release of the Mi CC9 Pro in China, with both being essentially the same device.
The phone features a 6.47-inch 2,340x1,080 AMOLED display, a stunning EVF for those cameras at the back.
“The phone has one of the most impressive (on paper) camera setups, with five rear cameras, with a 108-megapixel wide-angle main lens that collates pixels to create 27-megapixel photos (you can take 108-megapixel photos with an insane 12,032x9,024 pixel resolution if you like). There's also a 20-megapixel ultra wide lens, a 5-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens for portrait photos that can do 2x optical zoom on its own, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The selfie camera has a 32-megapixel sensor.” (Mashable)
Powering it all is a 5,260mAh battery that comes with 30W fast-charging, and according to Xiaomi, that should last you two days – bring a battery pack with you and you have a fairly hefty mobile camera set-up wherever you’re headed.
When it comes to cost, you’ll be pleasantly surprised; 549 euros (or $609), though that does contrast with the Chinese equivalent’s very attractive price of $400. A premium model of the phone, the Mi Note 10 Pro, is set to come soon, with a more advanced lens and more RAM and storage space, though no release date or price for that has been given.
Xiaomi cut costs somewhere to reach that price-point, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. Music enthusiasts will be pleased to know it keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Overall, a strong offering, and a very attractive product for those looking to do some serious photography on their smartphone.
